But you want to use the 300B as output, for the lovely sound and purity of tone. That doesn't mean you can't use other tubes in the circuit to drive the 300B to it's best potential. Especially with SET circuits, it's a question of finding complimentary tubes that work together to bring out the best in the output stage, which will dominate the sound, for the most part.
