Yeah, that's my question too. I'm loving a 6V6 operated pentode R/C coupled to a 45 even as we speak . . . 180Vp, 100Vs decoupled w/50uF, self-biased at -6V . . . non-tweaked circuit, sounds great, real transparent. Or maybe that's just the 45.
