Miller capacitance of a 45 is about half that of a 2A3, so half the driver current might give the same performance as paralleled tubes into a 2A3.
Ought to be a fairly easy experiment to try, if you build the paralleled version first. It is rare but oh so valuable when someone posts experience instead of speculation! (Yes, I know I just posted speculation ... :^)
