I searched the Magnequest Asylum and here are three that I found -
In this particular circuit, the Simple 45, I got the EXO-45 sounding good but couldn't get rid of the last bit of glare on loud treble passages. I replaced the EXO-45 with the Robin Hood and the EXO-03 with the BCP-15. Not quite the weight of the EXO-45 but the glare is gone and the sound still airy.
I did use these in an amp Peter Clark, of Redpoint Audio Design, commissioned... I purchased the 5k parafeed version and used it with 300b's... sounded wonderful at Peter's.. nice work.. very balanced sound with good extension either direction.. now I kinda wish I had written down the bench numbers... but I remember that they were very good.. and the listening is what is most important anyway...
I picked it up at Steve's tonight after he ironed out a few bugs. John Tucker's design, your EXO-03's and Robin Hood parafeed OPT's, Audio Note tants's and Obbligato oil parafeed caps from Brian Cherry. We were grinning like idiots at the naturalness of the instruments, voices, low bass and imaging. We agree it's in a league of it's own.
Hope this helps.
