really basic questions, about shunt regulating a 45 output stage

Hey all, I'm wondering about shunt-regulating a "parafeed" 45 output stage, and getting away with shunting the same current as the stage itself, say 34mA each for a stack of VR tubes and the "parafeed" circuit. At full signal output, will the 125H choke draw from zero to 68mA, and foil my plans? I realize this is a really basic question, but then from my mistaken post below to a question about a VR tube in the output cathode of a direct coupled 2A3 circuit... I'm going to ask! I built such a circuit, using a 45 as output, "sitting atop" two OB3's. It sounded great, but I can't say if the current draw was varying through the VR shunt (the VR's didn't blink on and off). Any comments or crits very welcome... ---keto
