Larry,I'm greatly appreciate your experience, but I find these effects on filaments etc is relatively small for overall amp musicality (if not overbuilt - for example massive stabilization). And if you believe that with "right" driver we will begin to hear amp power supply, I think that even with the best power supply we still hear "something" that not satisfies us (poor mains etc) and this way of thinking leads us to nothing. The key is the harmony in everything, but not only in brute force of powerful drivers, massive power supplies and technobubble of this kind: "no, this tube is not suitable as driver, because of high output impedance and small current. We will have soft and undynamics sound"
