Re: Hope my new Kenwood Cassette Car tape deck holds out (Dolby, Response: 20-21kHz +/-2dB)

Ya know, it's funny you mention car cassette players. I had a 2000 Honda CR-V that came standard w/ a CD ONLY dashboard radio. I just got a 2004 CR-V, and voila...a cassette deck underneath the CD-player!

I think this may have more to do with people needing audio adapters than anything else. MacWorld magazine rated the cassette adapter as the best method for playing your iPod in the car. My dad plays his XM radio thru the cassette-deck in his Isuzu Vehicross.

Although I pulled a couple cassettes from the attic to play in the car, the vast majority are still packed up in storage. I hate cassettes. The writing fades on the case with use, I hate having to FFD from song to song, and they sound like poopy compared to CD's. Plus, occasionally the cassettes will get eaten. I have yet to have a CD chomped on by a CD-player!
