From what I know...

...the TC-770 is not really a machine that you should use much. It is fairly complicated and hard to fix, parts hard to get.

I intend to use mine just as a collectible display item, to spin every now and then. I think it is significant from the standpoint of tape decks development.

Your PR99, on the other hand, is something you can definitely use. The only real problem I see with it - is its NAB EQ. I much prefer the IEC. So I have a pristine PR99 MkII, but rarely use it.
