RE: New toy

That is MX-50, a pro model, not consumer. It is loaded with pro features, and it is extremely robust - much more so, than its pro-sumer sister MX5050.

On many of them the area around splicing block is a mess, this one is very clean, so it was not used much for editing, but the heads have significant wear, so it was used quite heavily - it came from a radio station.

It is, of course, 15ips 2-Track model, and it has some really cool features like individual reel sizes, tape dump and edit, EQ switch for NAB and IEC, balanced ins and outs, etc.

I actually have two of these. They are built like Tiger tanks, and weigh much more than their smallish size would suggest.
