No argument here, machines like Otari or a Revox do sound very good in their original form, but we are always restless. :)Regarding the IC's, I am still looking for a good small size balanced cable. I am currently using single ended connection, and for a tape head the difference can be mute, but since I have balanced input I might as well use it. So if something comes to mind, let me know.
