But that's the point...most people download MP3's at bit rates of 220 and under. And yes, you need sound cards and software appropriate to support lossless compression. My point was that MP3's were never intended originally to reproduce high-end audio. Can you get there with MP3's(?)...yeah, with some work. Is it worth it in the long run(?)...that's a personal decision.
