One of my old supervisors at work gave me an old pair of Cizek Model 1 speakers to try out. They have an adjustible Q dial that goes from 1 to 6. Don't understand the Q adjustment value thing.
He reciently got fired for drinking on the job, left his wife and no one knows where he is. He told me that back in the early 70's these were in competition with the more popular JBL's.
I remember the JBL's we used to listen to, Deep Purple, Santana, and Edgar Winter on those things with the Blue foam covers at ear damage levels.
I did a little research and found out a little about the company and the Guy Cizek but not a whole lot was out there.
These speakers are heavy, solid build, dark wood finish, big and boxy. Plugged them in and was not impressed( One of the woofers need refoaming), I may go ahead and fix the woofer and mess with them a little, maybe I will learn something.
Anyone out there remember these speakers??
