I do like some horns but don't think my room is suitable. When I was just out of college, I built a pair of Speakerlab K horns. They were ok but the throat dimensions were off so the bass was not so good. I sold them to a friend who stiffed me.
I would not say horns and stats are similar.
I looked at the Radian drivers a while back - look pretty good. It would be hard for me to build cabinets these days, just not set up.
