General speaker questions for audio and home theater.

RE: KEF LS 50 with the new SVS SB1000 Pro

The Elipsa is a much better speaker, but with a price tag over 22K-it should be.
A single pair was good, but I felt the "double par" was better.Same sonic structure, but more fleshed out, slightly stronger bass and more life-like image production.
Adding subwoofers can be a quick fix, but usually gets expensive when done properly.
Started with plate amps, then added a Pass XVR-1 and finally a Pass X250.Lots of fiddling. Finally decided that if I wanted more bass reproduction, it would be easier to use a larger speaker (from size).
In hindsight, the 50s were providing a lot for the investment.
From my electronic training,I always remember KISS;keep it simple stupid. Not an insult, just that many of us are not acoustical engineers.
