I almost exclusively shop the vintage or used market.. Especially for speakers. There I'm sure are exceptions, but the build quality of say 20 years ago vs. today is just NOT what it was.... Twenty years ago you could get a good quality pair of speakers that were not just particle board but wood veneer wrapped for around $300.00. Try and find that today! I doubt seriously that you can find it, unless you DIY.....
