You need to take into account the BBC was very concerned with the voice range and were willing to compromise the bass range a bit. So the 1st resonance of a BBC design is low and then the damping pads are used to stop ringing as fast as possible. BBC resonance is thus relatively low while newer super cabinets like Magico, etc. aim for as high a resonant frequency as possible. That ends up expensive as seen by Magico and Wilson prices.
