The JJ 2A340 is pretty nice: solid, dynamic, big and still direct; relative to the mids, bass can sound a bit soft and treble slightly (not offensively - some will like this) crisp - not zingy like some 2A3s. A nice "value" option if you get them from a dealer who tests them thoroughly.The EML2A3-S is similar generally, but having a more cohesive/linear sound if slightly less big - costs more and sounds it. A solid (excuse the pun) choice if one has the $$$ and likes the type of musical presentation.
EML2A3-M also has cohesive/linear sound, but overall more spacious, more resolved and softer (but not blurred). Can be lovely. Trickier to get the right amp for EML mesh tubes, I think - think dynamic, low-compromise...
