Glad to know that someone else knows that acoustic suspension and infinite baffle are not interchangeable, that acoustic suspension is infinite baffle but the reverse need not be true.
I would differ that closed box has subjectively tighter bass. It is tighter and it can be measured tighter. Overhang is measureable and closed box has less overhang than reflex. I know you know this and wish you hadn't used the word 'subjective'.
It is true that reflex goes deeper in one sense but closed box goes deeper(less roll off) as frequency drops since reflex rolls off much more quickly than closed box so deep down closed box has more bass. Sadly this is only technically true since it overtakes reflex at a point where bass is essentially inaudible and this is especially true at normal listening levels due to Fletcher/Munson affect since our ears roll off at normal listening levels.
