My system is able to play extremely loud - but my favorite average level is around 85dB which is already louder than what most non-audiophile people (the ones with a Sonos speaker on the chimney) would ever consider reasonable.
85dB is in the ballpark of what audiophiles general listen at, only difference is that I reach those 85dB with the voltage equivalent of a mosquito fart.
