I suggest you check speaker polarity (absolute and relative to one another) then if everything is checked, play a mono signal, then play with speaker positioning until the mono signal originates dead center. Try playing with distance between speakers, and toe-in. In some rooms, extreme toe-in (speakers firing to a point that is a foot or two IN FRONT of your head) can do wonders.
