I don't disagree with that. It's a question of system operation versus system capability.The way these sort of dipole woofer systems are constructed and equalized, the limitation is always driver Xmax and/or mechanical excursion capability and not the available amplifier voltage/current.
The drivers are operating in free air and the EQ/xover curve heads steeply downward with increasing frequency. So, minimal power is required and unless we're talking about a flea-power amp, any decent power amp will work fine.A typical 50-70 wpc / 8 ohm amplifier is just fine. That's why I told the OP that a 250 watt amplifier is waaaay too much power.
