RE: Shouting

I have a new active crossover, the K231 from sublime acoustics; it has a continuously variable BSC (baffle step compensation) circuit with selectable range; in fact a shelving filter.
It isn't probably your issue (or maybe it is?) BUT you could probably cheat with it: use the active crossover to add subs to your system, and use the BSC circuit to tame the shout. It wouldn't be very scientific but it might just work, if you wanna go that road. Probably better than adding a passive shelving filter in your speakers. There's a 45 days hassle free return policy should it not be effective.
