One of the advantages of DIY speakers is that the builder is not afraid to make major changes to the speakers until they do sound right in the room. I got my triamplified, fully horn loaded, DSP corssed over and speaker and room corrected speakers up and playing in 2004. They were a disappointment. Since then I changed the wide range drivers from Lowther to AER, changed all three amplifiers, added a super tweeter and upgraded the DEQX DSP. Now I believe they sound very good, and my audiophile friends agree. Despite the fact that they are very large, the folded corner horn woofers alone are eighteen cubic feet, my wife likes them too. Right now she is in the listening room enjoying a Brooks and Dunn. That is why I am in a different room on the PC.
I dream of an America where a chicken can cross the road without having it's motives questioned.
