I have a pair of Oberon 7s which I used prior to the arrival of my
Magnepan LRSes. I think the Oberon 7s are a great speaker, easy to
drive (they are nominal 6 ohm impedance) and are not at all fussy about
placement. They seem quite musical to my ears and do not seem to
emphasize on portion of the frequency spectrum over another. And,
the bass output was quite adequate for me (I listen almost exclusively
to acoustic music). I did not listen to any large orchestral recordings
with them.
I do not think you can go wrong with these speakers and that amp should
be quite adequate.
(I am quite willing to let mine go for a very reasonable price - PM me
for further info if you wish).
