John Wright designed both lines. But with the TDL speakers I believe he had input into the driver designs since they were made by the company that owned TDL.
By the way the oval TDL woofer used the same frame as the later B139 and was a bolt in physically although it had different acoustic characteristics. A friend substituted them into IMF speakers with tighter bass the result.
And B139 stands for 13 inches by 9 inches. Did you know there was a KEF B1814, 18 inches by 14 inches. It was sold in America in a 2 way speaker with a hard KEF T50 dome driver by Harmon Kardon I think(not positive if it was HK).
