I use a pair of electrical hand-driven forklifts. I leave the subwoofers on the forks and raise them for "critical" listening. I have a separate circuit to the listening room for charging them, but it is not so bad as they seem to hold their charge for a while - they don't get that much use.
The forklifts are bit large though and could play havoc with the acoustics. I'd like something smaller, maybe a siple elevating platform, but the fork work and look pretty hardcore - my dedication seems to really impresses visitors.
