The R2 crossovers were designed by KEF for Bud. I know this was pre computer crossover design but changing crossovers has to be done by those who know what they're doing. There isn't a text book out there. Crossovers and drivers(and boxes) interact in lots of ways to produce a final result. Unless your friend really knows how to design crossovers it's either a case of luck or invented here.
