RE: Guess if you're voicing for classical

I'd expect the R2 to sound great on jazz too. My only point was that Bud didn't really like jazz and would only have voiced his speakers on classical music.

By the way the greatest dynamic peaks are usually on classical music. But they are short. Rock is loud basically and since it rarely has large dynamic variation has high average loudness which can stress drivers since there is less cooling off. That's especially true on 40 year old drivers like the KEF drivers in the R2. One big change in drivers has been the ability to handle a lot more power without being harmed.
