The idea of biamping with solid state on the bottom with better damping and more power and tubes on the top seems logical at first. But be careful. If the sonic signature of the two amps is very different as it probably is you can end up with coloration differences top to bottom especially if the bottom driver runs well into the mids. But since you already have the amps if you can compensate for the different gain of the two amps it could be a fun exercise.
