I came to Reynaud speakers first through the Twin, then the Offrande, older version. For me one of the most attractive and endearing qualities of these Jean-Marie designed speakers was their ability to present the music with what Bob described as "natural warmth". Both of these speakers had, to varying degrees, an ability to preserve tone and detail in such a way that demanded attention. For me neither of these speakers encourages background listening. The Jean-Marie speakers I've heard just draw the listener into a musical space that to me feels very right.
I'll admit that I've approached the Jean-Claude designs with some bias. Not fair, I know but there it is. In fact, it was this very bias that hindered my purchase of a used pair of Offrande Supremes. Sooner or later I know I'm going to have to replace my fifteen-year old Offrandes but for now they sound just fine.
