Who sold you the replacement coils? Ask them first. If you're replacing both of a pair, make sure they're connected with the same physical orientation, one matching the other. Doesn't matter which way because now they're both in phase with each other, which is critical.
50 - 50 that you get it right for the speaker system. Even if you don't, you can still swap external tweeter connections and get them back to proper phase. If the xover is designed correctly, there will be a significant null, or loss of sound, in a very narrow range around the xover point, and the speakers will sound dull or recessed, if the tweeters are in the wrong phase. If they're in the proper phase (And, confusingly, sometimes that IS out of phase!), the speakers will have even response throughout the xover range.
Hook 'em up. Play some music. Swap tweeter leads. More music. Which way is better? You will not damage anything by doing this.
