The best they ever sounded was when driven by much-improved 650-Watt McCormack DNA-750s.I eventually tired of their high-frequency hardness (while my ears were fading in their ability to hear upper-MR/lower-treble) and sold them (and the McCormacks) to a local friend who still has them wrapped in plastic and in storage.
* Such as four of the rare, very-hi-quality, 25-Watt Marantz MA-24s. Those sitting on the carpet in front of the black amps are 50-Watt MA-22s. All this stuff but the MA-22s are long gone.
