Thoughts on the Vienna Acoustics Mahlers

Borrowed a pair from a friend; have removed my Serenity Super-7s from my system--see link--to sell them and needed something meanwhile.. Am driving them with 2 channels of a used-but-new-to-me Butler hybrid TDB 5150 amp and mismatched, mishmashed speakercable.

Initial thoughts--VERY nice! Wonderful, musical-sounding midrange that's transparent and coherent.. The treble is very attractive and NOT hard, screechy, or too loud (with the switch in the 'down' position). Bass (with the switch in the 'up' position) is extended well into the bottom octave and nicely tuneful.. More later.

If I buy these, and I probably will, I'll rewire the inputs slightly and add input posts for the bass section of the x-over so that I can biamp each one with 2 channels each of two Butler 5150s.
