I would like to thank everyone for their input. Upon removal of the woofers last night I noticed that the spiders were totally separated from the speaker basket. I'm surprised I didn't notice this the first time and I am totally amazed that the speakers didn't sound like total sh*t from the first note. (they actually sounded great until the noise started) Madisound recommends the Scanspeak discovery woofer as a replacement, however they state I may have to cut the cabinets which I won't do. If I can't find a reasonably priced replacement I'll just part them out.
