RE: I was thinking..

The issue you're referring to is not the issue in the previous thread. The poster in the previous thread wanted to know whether he was required to send a signal to both left and right channel inputs on each of his two subwoofers. The outputs on his integrated amplifier were not subwoofer outputs; they were full-range stereo preamp outputs. He was asking whether he had to use a Y-adapter at the input to each subwoofer in order to send the stereo signal equally to each subwoofer input. In other words, he wanted to send the left channel signal to the left subwoofer but use a Y-adapter at the subwoofer input so the signal was applied equally to both left and right channel subwoofer inputs. That is not necessary. It is perfectly acceptable to send the left channel signal to only one of the two inputs on the left subwoofer and the right channel signal to only one of the two inputs on the right subwoofer thereby leaving the second input on each subwoofer disconnected.

The issue you're referring to is entirely different.

Best regards,
John Elison
