Why would you need to sell a pair of Y-adapters if you bought them and didn't need them. They only cost a few dollars. The guy who says you need them is confused. However, I don't see how this Y-adapter thing is such a major issue for you. If you can't figure it out, I'd suggest you buy the subwoofers first and try them without Y-adapters. I don't use Y-adapters and my subs work just fine. If you looked at the diagram from the guy who said you needed Y-adapters, you'd see the diagram used Y-adapters on the preamp output so one line went to the power amplifier and the other line went to the subwoofer. However, if for some very odd reason you decide you need Y-adapters, buy them after you determine for certain you need them. Although, I can't imagine why you would need them.Every time you ask a question in this format you will get every conceivable answer. Most of the answers are probably wrong. I mean, they can't all be right, can they?
Good luck,
John Elison
