Besides the holographic imaging, the bass response blows me away. It might have something to do with the position of the speakers in the room but there is no need whatsoever for a subwoofer. Recordings containing a string bass sound well balanced and powerful. I think I could live with this sound forever.

On the other hand, I seem to get used to any given sound after a length of time. Have you ever noticed that? I guess its the nature of our audio hobby. I can achieve the most fantastic sound quality and yet after I get used to it, I begin looking for something different. ;-)

However, at the moment, this nearfield configuration blows me away!
