It depends on one's perceptive dominance.Some people are have a visual dominance - they think and explain things in visual terms. In audio reviews, these people discuss at length the visual aspects of musical reproduction - imaging is the most obvious one, but there are others. These people (may) need the visual cues to suspend disbelief and feel connected to music.
Others have a kinaesthetic dominance, some auditory...
I'm apparently balanced (not the gift one would think it is) - I can enjoy (but don't nearly need) a sense of depth and tangibility to musical strands, but imaging or a precisely located performers etc does not interest me.
