Yes, my concern is that either the speaker is internally mis-wired or the bi-wire cables are mis-wired or the dealer gave me two identical speakers instead of a matching pair (these speakers are matched with specific L-R pairs). The speaker cable is Nordost Super FlatLine bi-wired in a shotgun configuration, so it is not possible to visually tell if it is mis-wired. I do need to do a continuity test, so thanks for that suggestion!
I've lived with the problem for quite a while. I had decided that I was stuck with bad room acoustics. However, the problem is bad on some songs and barely noticeable on others so I've also been suspicious of bad polarity and recently decided to so some Googling and found the linked post in my original post.
Have not changed room furniture and there are no jumpers on the speakers or the amp.
