I sold my nearly new pair of NS1000M's shortly after hearing and buying one of the first 50 pairs of B&W speakers ever imported to the US. The DM-6 was an awesomely musical and accurate speaker, and finally ended my year-long search for the best available in Wisconsin at that time. I listened to dozens of speakers at numerous audio stores, and bought the NS1000M's almost in desperation. They were the best for me until I heard the B&W's.
A good friend still owns that same pair of B&W speakers (with refurbished xovers) so I get to hear them occasionally. They are not nearly as good as speakers that are made now, although they still have their good points.
I'm sure there are still attractive aspects of the NS1000M, especially with upgraded xovers. They were the best and only decent speaker ever sold in the US by any Japanese mass-market audio company. Glad you enjoy them.
Peace,
Tom E
