Maybe the greatest love/hate audio ownership I ever experienced.
Back then, I used them with an ARC SP-3 preamp, ARC D-75 amp on the mid-panels, and a D-51 on the treble panels. TD-125 TT, Decca Intl. arm & cartridge. Half-track H.S. ReVox A-77 for my recording gigs and playback copies for the local NPR affiliate.
Loved them when they were working (on recordings that let them shine), hated them when they broke (a lot - mid & treble panels arc'ing out - I kept replacement panels under my bed).
Again, when all was working, and on the right recordings, sublime would be a good description.
Best regards,
Jim Smith
