The 948 was in a room by Denver dealer Gold sound, with Cambridge Audio amp/preamp/CD player and a VPI Classic TT with an Ortofon cartridge. The 926 was powered by that too cool Diavalet all in one system. In both cases, I really, really liked what I heard. Very smooth and non-fatiguing sound, seamless driver transitions, full but controlled bass-I thought these were seriously good speakers for the bucks. I remember leaving the room with the top of the line Sonus Fabers Olympicas and thinking that those were really nice, but the Focals were very close in overall performance for a lot less money.
