RE: Does uneven FR affect sounstaging?

Sound-stage is affected by all the parameters in loudspeaker response.
An uneven FR can move various instruments and voices forward or backward within the sound-stage and thus position them contrary to what the record producer had intended.
The more uneven the response, the less natural, less musical the sound.

Dynamics determines depth, resolution determines placement and high frequency dispersement and to an extent output will determine the height and breadth of your stage.

This is the simplified answer as a lowered noise floor will result in increased dynamics
which results in a deeper stage for example.

Also, a healthy response curve within the bottom two octaves will provide ' the band is in the room' immediacy which is so coveted by audiophiles and so hard to attain.

Cheers.
