...good question....and the answer is fairly simple..over the last 2 years i have been listening to alot of speakers in the $50k-$100k range to find a pair that would be the last speakers i would buy.actually i listened to speakers costing > $100k also.having been in this hobby/addiction for > 20 years...and having owned many speakers over that time from $1000- $40k and having heard many more, i am very familar with what makes..to my ears...and those are the only ones that count to me...a great sounding speaker....which is why my quest ended with a pair of tidal contriva diacera-se speakers.they are..to my ears..the best speakers..that i have heard...and i took the trouble to listen to between 12-15 in the 50-100k range. there certainly are no $9k speakers that can reproduce recorded sound as acurately and naturally as these speakers can...hope that answers your question...
