RE: If I like Quad ESL63s....

In rooms of that size, I've often had great results setting the system up diagonally. Smooths out the bass and opens up the sound.

This worked with Quads, Apogees, & Maggies, as well as with more "conventional" speakers.

Of course, that's assuming that you can get away with a fairly radical re-do of the room layout.
