...heard the 301s in a Best Buy (or C.rc.it C.ty, before they c.osed the doors) and thought the same thing... top definitely rolled-off, bass full and a bit fuzzy. Tell ya what, I'll take that anyday over a speaker that makes you feel like pins are being driven into the ears...
Then I figured w/ half-way dec.nt amp/sourc., better plac.ment and room ac.ustic., shouldn't be too bad...
