RE: Infinity Servostatic

I doubt that any are operational today.

I owned a pair in the early 70s. When they worked, they were fabulous.

I used to keep spare replacement tweeter and mid esl panels under my bed, because they would eventually fail. The question was not IF they would fail, but WHEN.

Got tired of that and sold them. Missed them so bad that I bought them back from the purchaser. Same issues. Nine months later, I sold them again.

I also sold SS-1s to clients of my store and all of them eventually went through the same issues.

IMO, the concept was good, but the execution, especially control over arcing issues, was simply beyond Infinity's reach at that time.
