RE: A way to adjust volume on rear speakers?


Your receiver's A and B selector simply parallels two left sides and two right sides dropping impedance the amps see to 4 ohms (nominal load)
Sounds like your pots are doing little more than eating up some of the amps power. It has to be a wiring issue. You could try putting a 4 or 5 ohm, 10 watt resistor in series with your rear speakers.
Positive or negative side , it shouldn't matter but experiment till you are satisfied.

NOTE: Size of the resistor is only a educated guess on my part.
