19 x 12 room, I think your room size is sufficent as long as you can move them away from the back wall about 2 1/2 feet and same for side walls. Beautiful speakers, built like rocks...
I ran them with solid state , dynamics were fast and impressive, kick drum and bass were tunefull with good tone , not as full and rich as I like but very musical. Up the frequency range I found the GP's quite detailed with terific soundstage but with some music the higher freq. had a bit of unpleasant bite to them, not sweet and smooth like I would like. My room enforced the issue because of it's plaster walls also.
If your CDP/pre is on the warm/smooth side you may do very well with the GP's, then again you never know untill you listen in your own space.
