RE: Other than the Triangle, what is a solid 90db or higher?

There's a ton of things that fit your goal. My homemade BIB's use Fostex Sigmas that are 96dB/W, I have about $500 in them total including the cost of lumber...

Heck, you could probably assemble a fully-active horn setup (with no amplification) with Altec horns and high efficiency midbasses for under two grand, maybe even with the extra amp if you aren't too picky. Those are 113dB/W on the top end, and usually in the mid '90s for the woofers...

In guess the question to ask is, what kind of sound are you looking for? Horns? Traditional crossover-ed cone speakers? Single drivers? Not afraid to DIY?

OK, so that was more than one question, but you get my idea :-P
